Who Knew (5)

Who knew the road would be so cursed and charmed,

laughing and crying are the same release.

Cutting cord or bonding stick, both be damned.

The sting of the nettle,

The warmth of his smile

Outwitted by salt,

scraped and sifted from the seven seas,

the song of the bone carriers lament,

the urgent wonder of his words,

both fail to stem the flow.
